EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT: Dorothy Murray

Dorothy Murray has been a C.N.A. (Certified Nursing Assistant) at FutureCare Chespeake for forty years. She loves taking care of the elderly residents and takes pride in providing for their needs and wants. All day long she interacts with the residents, talking to them, reading to them, and taking them for walks outside. Playing bingo and cards with the residents are two of her favorite activities.

Both of Dorothy's parents are from Maryland; her mother was a homemaker from St. Mary's County and her father was a farmer from Prince George's County. Dorothy has four sisters and a brother, two children, and five grandchildren. Outside of work she enjoys attending church functions and visiting her family.

Dorothy loves working for FutureCare because of the people--the residents know and love her, and the staff members support each other and work together. She believes that anyone who takes the time to see what FutureCare is all about will want to be a part of it. In Dorothy's words, "I just enjoy working at FutureCare and I love taking care of the elderly, period!"
