I cannot say enough good things about the people at FutureCare Chesapeake. My mom had a long and complicated stay, and during what was an incredibly difficult time for our family, so many members of the staff went above and beyond for her. There are some people in particular I really want to recognize: Wendy, transfer tech — for her patience, kindness, and care helping my mom with transfers. Rita, nurse — for the compassionate care she provided and for making us feel that Mom was genuinely being looked after. Megan, social worker — who deserves a special thank you. She worked incredibly hard to help us navigate a very complicated discharge, coordinating what felt like a million moving pieces and continuing to problem-solve when obstacles came up. She was responsive, patient, resourceful, and an enormous help to our family. Jackie, housekeeping — for taking such pride in her work and helping make Mom’s room feel clean, comfortable, and cared for. Joel, Director of Nursing — for his leadership, accessibility, and willingness to talk things through with our family and help us understand Mom’s care. Aimee, administrative staff — for being so helpful, responsive, and willing to track down answers and help with the many details that come with a long stay. Kristen and Robin, unit supervisors — for their leadership, communication, and willingness to step in whenever we needed help. Cassidy, occupational therapist; Danielle, physical therapist; Shanzay, speech therapist; and Beverly, head of therapy — for working so hard with Mom and helping her regain the skills and independence she needed to get home. We are incredibly grateful to the entire therapy team. Daniel, wound care — for his expertise, attentiveness, and care with one of the most challenging aspects of Mom’s medical needs. Dr. Mugera — for overseeing Mom’s care and helping manage a medically complicated situation. Korah and Livia, techs — for the hands-on care, patience, and kindness they showed Mom day after day. And Vivian and Suzette at the front desk — for always being welcoming and helpful through our many, many visits. Those seemingly small interactions really do make a difference when a family is going through something difficult. What impressed me most about FutureCare Chesapeake was how many people, in completely different roles, genuinely cared about my mom. Good care doesn’t come from one person or one department. It takes an entire team, and we were fortunate to encounter some truly wonderful people throughout Mom’s stay. When someone you love is sick, you remember the people who make a hard experience a little easier. We will remember these people. Thank you to Wendy, Rita, Megan, Jackie, Joel, Aimee, Kristen, Robin, Cassidy, Daniel, Beverly, Shanzay, Danielle, Dr. Mugera, Korah, Livia, Vivian, and Suzette. You each played a part in helping Mom get home, and our family is incredibly grateful. ❤️

Every person I came in contact with was equally helpful and nice from the Front desk to the nursing staff. Very much appreciated.

Savannah From the day I met this young lady, she has proven to be a diligent and hard worker. Whenever and I mean whenever I needed assistance she was right there without me having to wait. She always is kind with a great attitude whenever I see her. Savannah brightens my day!

From my experience from the tour to admissions process the staff has been helpful and friendly staff! And the facility was inviting , very clean and smelled great!

My Dad enter the facility and he was welcome with open arms. The staff were extremely helpful and nice. They answered all our questions. I felt so comfortable that my Dad will be safe during his duration here. Felisha -nurse on duty were extremely caring and knowledgeable.
