FutureCare Cherrywood Hosts Elegant Seder for 75 Residents & Family Members
APRIL 18, 2016--Reisterstown, MD--FutureCare Cherrywood hosted their annual Passover Seder luncheon last week on Thursday, April 14th. It was attended by 75 of Cherrywood's residents and their family members.
Cherrywood's new administrator Dovid Insel was officially welcomed at the luncheon. Dovid is the first ever Orthodox Jewish administrator at any FutureCare facility. This annual event is important for residents and their families because it gives them the opportunity to participate in a traditional holiday celebration together as a family.
Rabbi Moshe Shualy of Chizuk Amuno Congregation conducted a traditional service, using the Haggadah and the Seder plate. The service also included a video presentation of traditional Jewish songs played by the cantor from the rabbi's synagogue.
The luncheon menu included chicken soup with matzo balls, oven roasted chicken breast, potato kugel, roasted vegetable medley and fresh berries with house–made whipped cream.
