Seven FutureCare Facilities Receive “Best Nursing Home” Recognition from U.S. News & World Report
October 30, 2018 Pasadena, MD – FutureCare Health and Management, Maryland's premier skilled nursing and rehabilitation provider, is proud to announce that seven of its local facilities were recognized on U.S. News & World Report's "Best Nursing Homes" list for 2018. FutureCare Homewood, located in Baltimore City, received a "High Performing" overall rating. Additionally, the following six facilities received "High Performing" ratings for short-stay rehabilitation: Baltimore City-based FutureCare Charles Village, FutureCare ColdSpring, and FutureCare Northpoint; Baltimore County-based FutureCare Cherrywood and FutureCare Old Court; and Anne Arundel County-based FutureCare Chesapeake.
"We are very proud of our facilities for this achievement. It is a testament to our incredible employees and their dedication to providing the best possible care," said FutureCare President and CEO Gary Attman. "Short-term rehabilitation is an increasingly important part of health care, and we are thrilled that so many of our facilities are now being recognized for it. Our goal, through our state-of-the-art VitalStrong rehabilitation programs, has always been to help patients go home faster and stronger. Receiving these high ratings for short-term rehabilitation proves that we are achieving that goal."
Each facility's rating was determined through an evaluation of the care received by a wide range of residents in the facility, based on data from the federal Nursing Home Compare program. The data used includes both long-term residents with chronic needs and short-term rehabilitation patients.
